I had a pleasant surprise today: my copy of Skyrim arrived this morning, which was rather nice as I didn’t pay for next day delivery. Because of this I’m going to be staying up until 00:00 11/11/11 (that’s about 45mins away at the time of writing) and should have my first proper post or two out sometime the same day. And then I will sleep.
I’m sure the first few posts will have major plot spoilers in, and from what I’ve heard it would be a shame to miss out on the surprise, so I’ll make sure to label all the spoilerific posts, and put a link in the top post linking to the first of the spoiler free posts when I get to them. Hopefully most people reading this will have already played the opening of Skyrim and will have experienced the early main quest before reading any of my escapades.
Anyway, cheers for reading, I’ll have something more interesting to read as soon as I can tear myself away… and to all you other Skyrimmers: happy dragon-slaying! 🙂
Greetings, salutations, and welcome to my cowardly adventures!
If you’re wondering what this is and where the hell you are, those are both good questions, and ones I’ll be asking myself come Nov 11.
On that date William (that’s me), an unremarkable, unheroic earthling will be catapaulted into the frozen land of Skyrim. Simply put this is a “non-adventure”, a story of nobody special trying not to die horribly in a world that has a singular purpose: to create adventure by providing danger.
If this sounds interesting to you then why not check out the About, Character, and Rules sections for background info on me, my reasoning, and what to expect. And why not click that button over on the right for email updates?
The story of my non-adventure has already begun in Premonitions! It’s just something to fill the site up a bit until I have the game in my greasy hands, at which point totally unwelcome excitement will ensue. I’ll hopefully have my first day in Skyrim posted by/on the 12th Nov but sooner if I can manage it.
Otherwise; stay tuned! Because I’m probably not going to know what hit me! So neither will you, I guess. And that’s good. Right?
